Q: What’s the difference between Pre-Qualified and Pre-Approved?

Being Pre-Approved is much more than just a telephone interview.  Your submitted loan application is reviewed by underwriting and then approved for the maximum loan possible.

Q: Will Pre-Approval help me buy a house?

Absolutely.  When your Realtor goes to present the offer, an approved status will add strength to your side of the bargaining table, making it possible to negotiate a better price.

Frequently Asked Questions

about Pre-Approval

Q: Is getting Pre-Approved complicated?

Actually, it’s quite simple.  Together with a loan officer, you complete the short application and submit it with the items on the Application Checklist included here.  This can be done via telephone or, if you prefer, at your Realtor’s office, our office, or even your own home.  The process takes only about 30 minutes.

Q: How much does it cost?

There is no fee for getting Pre-Approved.  A factual data credit report is required, however, so a minimal credit report fee is collected.

Q: So, how do I get started?

Contact me and schedule an appointment.  Then, with your Realtor, go find that house of your dreams.  You will have peace of mind knowing that you have already secured the financing!
